“Megachile Pluto” that is the scientific name of the bee that is acknowledged as the biggest in the world. The female kind is said to reach its full size to a length of 1.5 inches. Uncharacteristically, the male specie of this kind can only measure up to only less than an inch in full growth. All things considered, that’s still dangerous to be around. We should be thanking our lucky stars that the leafcutter bee, for which it is commonly called, is not a common type of bee. To have that a size of that bee is flying around is somewhat terrifying and traumatic, to say the least.
Let us go to the other half of the bee specie with regards to its size. The “Trigona Minima” or commonly known as the stingless bee, whose size is more or less, but probably less just a fraction of an inch long (about 2.1 mm). The size of it is so trifling you can hardly notice it flying around. All bees, regardless of size have 5 eyes all in all. Three simple eyes and 2 compound eyes — because each one is composed of many hexagonal surfaces. It explains the fact why bees are so fast to move and take the necessary evasive actions when being threatened by adversary.
Like butterflies, bees can be depended upon as pollinators. Exactly the reason why it’s great for the environment to have it flying around and visiting plants and flowers. However, the way they pollinate varies also. Their body shape, tongue length and flower preference affects the way they pollinate. It is also not unusual for a bee to visit a flower but not pollinate it for reason of its own. So, some bees may be productive while some others are not.
Needless to say, bee extermination is a dreadful task to undertake and, at the same time, hazardous to your health and wellbeing. To be unfortunately be subjected to one bee sting can already cause so much pain – excruciating pain, so just picture how it will be when dozens or more attack you. It is a well-known fact that there are cases of individuals being rushed to the hospital because of having been attacked by bees. Nobody wants something like that to happen to them.
Don’t handle the bee extermination on your own and avoid getting yourself into deep trouble and danger. You don’t have to put yourself at risk, so why should you? The intelligent thing to do, and perhaps the most prudent way, is contact a professional pest extermination company and let them do the job for you. They know what to do, having the long years of experience and the technical knowledge to back them up. They are the best there is so you should take advantage of their expertise. There’s no doubt about the outcome, you will be grateful you did.
